Casey case included evidence of chloroform and Cindy claimed she, not Casey, did the computer search for "chloroform" because she "was worried that it might affect my dogs," adding, "I was worried about them eating bamboo." 

She also took responsibility for looking up "chest injuries," which was another search term found on the Anthony family computer.

This morning, Casey Anthony was sentenced to four years in prison for lying to the police during the investigation to find her murdered daughter, Caylee. However, just moments ago, Judge Perry announced that Casey will be released from prison on July 13 ... as in next week.

Confused? Well, it's very simple. Casey already served nearly three years while the investigation was going on. That time spent in jail during the trial was factored into her sentencing, thus reducing it. It was initially thought that Casey would at least spend 2-3 weeks in prison, being released in late July or early August. But now, she'll spend a total of six days behind bars for herconviction

For the second consecutive year in the United States, the adolescent birth rate dropped from 21.7 per 1,000 girls ages 15 to 17 (2008) to 20.1 per 1,000 (2009, preliminary data).

The White House is prepared to keep as many as 10,000 U.S. troops in Iraq after the end of the year, amid growing concern that the planned pullout of virtually all remaining American forces would lead to intensified militant attacks, according to U.S. officials.

Keeping troops in Iraq after the deadline for their departure at the end of December would require agreement of Iraq's deeply divided government, which is far from certain. The Iraqis so far have not made a formal request for U.S. troops to remain, according to the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

Some powerful Iraqi political forces are staunchly opposed to a continued U.S. presence.

The Obama administration has been debating how large a force to propose leaving in Iraq. It made its proposal now in hopes of spurring a request from Prime Minister Nouri Maliki's government, and to give the Pentagon time to plan, the officials said.

The troops would be based around Baghdad and in a small number of other strategic locations around the country, the officials said.

Noting that Iraq had not asked yet for troops to stay, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said: "There's only so much time here available for the Iraqi government to make such a request. If they do, we will consider it. Otherwise, we are keeping on schedule."

Unless Iraq asks for a change in its 2008 agreement with theGeorge W. Bush administration, only about 200 active-duty troops would remain as advisors after December, the officials said. More than 166,000 American troops were in Iraq in 2007 when the U.S. military presence there peaked. There are about 46,000 remaining.

The idea of keeping any U.S. forces in Iraq remains deeply controversial, both in Iraq and the United States. Maliki faces pressure from hard-line members of his governing coalition not to extend the U.S. presence, and some American lawmakers strongly favor bringing all the remaining troops out on schedule.

Oxnard student Larry King died from two gunshots to the back of his head, although a Ventura County medical examiner Wednesday morning could not say which shot came first.

As a second day of testimony got underway in the trial of King's classmate, Brandon McInerney, Chief Examiner Ronald O’Halloran demonstrated to jurors how the bullets penetrated King's skull and entered the back of his head.

A lack of gunpowder or smoke residue indicates the shooter was at least 1 1/2 feet away, he said.

Under cross examination the medical examiner added a few more details: 15-year-old King had nail polish on his fingers and his toes and had recently shaved a small mustache.

McInerney, 17, is charged with gunning down King in an Oxnard computer lab in February 2008. The defendant is being tried as an adult in a Chatsworth courtroom.

In opening statements Tuesday, prosecutor Maeve Fox talked of King as a shy, effeminate student who had recently come out of his shell to assert his sexuality and paid a price for it at the hands of a classmate with white supremacist tendencies.

Defense attorney Scott Wippert portrayed King as the aggressor, flirting and taunting McInerney so relentlessly that it triggered their fatal clash.

“She still isn’t show­ing, but she says the pregnancy is in the very early stages and is hoping to start showing soon so the people in the courtroom will notice.

“Months ago, Casey told her jail­house friends that she wanted to get pregnant – and recently said she missed her period. Then she said she was starting to get feelings in her body that reminded her of when she was in the early stages of carrying Caylee. Soon after missing her period, Casey started getting sick – throwing up in the morning. She said that all this convinced her she was pregnant.”

While it wasn’t easy, Casey told pals she found opportunities to have sex behind bars, say sources.

An HIV-positive father in Ohio was arrested on Saturday for raping his infant son, police say. Lenny Love, a 29 year old man from Ohio, is being charged with RAPING his 6 month old son. And it gets WORSE - Lenny has HIV and he INFECTED the innocent baby with the disease. 
But get THIS, prosecutors in Silverton, Ohio are REFUSING to charge this MONSTER with MURDER . . . or even ATTEMPTED MURDER.

Instead, Lenny is only charged with 2 counts of rape, 1 count of felonious assault and 1 count of marijuana possession.

Casey was found GUILTY on four counts of providing false information to a law enforcement officer. 

Anthony was teary-eyed as the verdict was read. 

A judge has ordered Anthony to be fingerprinted immediately. 

Anthony faces up to 4 years in state prison for lying to the cops -- one year for each count.

Katt Williams' Bodyguard Kills Dog
It all went down June 24 when Katt's tour bus pulled into a Jack-in-the-Box in Williams, Arizona. According to police, one of Katt's bodyguards was bitten by a German shepherd -- prompting the bodyguard to open fire twice ... killing the dog. 

The German shepherd -- named Lester -- was a retired police dog that had gotten loose during a walk with its owners. The family tells TMZ they were in shock when, "Katt Williams came outside and told us that he [the bodyguard] will be fired immediately."

This is when it gets weird. The family says Katt went inside his tour bus and walked off with an 8 week old Mastiff ... and offered it to them to replace the dead dog.

They accepted and then -- shockingly -- posed for a picture with Katt ... and everyone was all smiles!
Katt Williams was interviewed by police, and was very cooperative. No charges have been filed against the bodyguard.

Vinny Guadagnino left the Jersey Shore house after getting a fight with another cast member and then complaining of "being homesick."

The cast just arrived back at the Shore to film season 5 after spending some time in Florence shooting the fourth season. Vinny had apparently threatened to leave the house a few days ago because he was feeling "burned out," but cast members convinced him to stay. After the argument though, looks like Vinny had enough and quit the show.
